My daily draw/watercolour. Day 98 of #the100dayproject . Irises. When sleep escapes you, you paint. You don’t get the best results but it is an effort. Flowers are not my favourite and I was sloppy with the background. My daily draw/watercolour. Day 97 of #the100dayproject. Team Martha and Lia. I hope they approve. Somehow I’ve made Lia look like a teenager. She grew up fast! Sometimes I have no control of the outcome.Baking bread. Of comfort and joy on a cool rainy and snowy day. The snow was short lived. I ate 2 slices. My daily draw/watercolour. Day 96 of #the100dayproject. Reading - from a photo I saw and love of a FB page. I adore these 2 friends and the story they are telling. My daily draw/watercolour. Day 95 of #the100dayproject. My Valentine’s bouquet is long past due. Now that I’ve captured it, I can let it go. As you can see, my table is in its usual mess.A memory of Sheba checking out squirrels up the tree. She left us 2 years ago yesterday. Our very last squash from fall harvest. A Sweet Mama. Will be part of soup for lunch. I will add radish greens from the greenhouse to the mix. A cool morning. We had a bit of rain overnight. There’s forecast of minus night temps later in the week. I wonder what kind of summer we will have this year.My daily draw/watercolour. Day 94 of #the100dayproject Trying something outside my usual. I love flowers but not fond of painting them because they are not easy.Caught the culprit - scarlet lily beetle snacking on my plant. I did away with it. I hear they can eat up all your lilies. Good thing they don’t care for day lilies.Tulips in bloom.Instagram

WHAT’S FUN, WHAT’S NOT
It’s Day 17 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge. I’m here to talk about having fun. I’m not sure what kind of conversation we will have. I’m a serious type and not into fun at all, at least not the type … Continue reading
SEIZE THE DAY
It is day 2 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge. I better seize the momentum of this newness to get going. I was going to reward myself after writing this post, but I failed the delayed gratification test. I already had … Continue reading

IF WISHES WERE HORSES
The prompt today for Susannah Conway’s December Reflections is: on my wish list. It caused me pause for reflection. Have I ever wished for anything? None that I can remember for eons and eons. Oh yes, There was a time … Continue reading

MY MONKEY MIND
Friday I’m experiencing restless brain syndrome today. My monkey mind is taking me here and there, nowhere that is restful. That, too, is best to accept and not try frantically to rid of. Trying to escape would only creates more … Continue reading
TREPIDATIONS AND OBLIGATIONS
December 20, 2018 11:13 am Time has a tricky way of sneaking away on me when I’m not careful. It’s not a bad thing if I’m sidetracked by something useful. I was – looking up my nephew’s YouTube video of … Continue reading

BEING MY OWN INSPIRING PERSON AND HERO
Sunny Sunday morning. It’s a welcome sight. I don’t mind that it’s -7 Celsius. I’m always surprised every year how dark October can be. Seems like summer just drops off a cliff and the sunrise at 6 am with it. … Continue reading

SUNDAY COMING DOWN
Today the sun plays hide and seek behind the clouds. The wind is sighing heavily through the spruce trees. I am spooked by the shadowing and heavy sighs. My skin crawls. I have to do. I can’t just sit and … Continue reading

BLANK PAGES
After a hot day yesterday, it is cool, cloudy and raining. Nothing remains the same. It’s good to remember that. Fear not, if you are between a rock and a hard place. That hard place will shift if ever slightly. … Continue reading

LESSONS LEARNED FROM SWIMMING AND ELSEWHERE
Here I am, tap. tapping from the library. I was balancing my laptop on my knees for awhile. Luckily, a cubicle opened up and now I have my own private space and desk. No further need for balancing acts. My … Continue reading

BEGINNINGS AND RE-STARTS
Beginnings and re-starts are hard. I had a week’s hiatus from my exercise class between Christmas and New Year. After New Year, I made it two weeks. It’s good to take a break, I tell myself. Saturdays are my swim … Continue reading
