My daily draw/watercolour. Day 95 of #the100dayproject. My Valentine’s bouquet is long past due. Now that I’ve captured it, I can let it go. As you can see, my table is in its usual mess.A memory of Sheba checking out squirrels up the tree. She left us 2 years ago yesterday. Our very last squash from fall harvest. A Sweet Mama. Will be part of soup for lunch. I will add radish greens from the greenhouse to the mix. A cool morning. We had a bit of rain overnight. There’s forecast of minus night temps later in the week. I wonder what kind of summer we will have this year.My daily draw/watercolour. Day 94 of #the100dayproject Trying something outside my usual. I love flowers but not fond of painting them because they are not easy.Caught the culprit - scarlet lily beetle snacking on my plant. I did away with it. I hear they can eat up all your lilies. Good thing they don’t care for day lilies.Tulips in bloom. My daily draw/watercolour. Day 93 of #the100dayproject. Ghanaian youths posing for my camera 2011. These are children of colour as I am a woman of colour. I’m thinking of the shooting in Buffalo where black people were targeted by an 18 year old white boy. Ten people were killed. I wonder when he had time to learn to hate. The first tomato - Red Alert - in the greenhouse.Sun after a rainy cloudy day. A bit breezy but still nice enough to enjoy a cuppa outside. My daily draw/watercolour. Day 92 of #the100dayproject. Back to nature - a pelican at the Prince Albert National Park. Photo reference @flora_bora. A lot of greens. I had to use my pen to tone it down and create more definition.Instagram

ORDER, VIRTUES AND BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
Here I am, a little earlier than usual. When I am stuck, I shuffle my deck of cards and try to come up with something else. Staying stuck frustrates and discourages me. Then I start feeling sorry for myself. No … Continue reading

WRITING ON THE WORD
2015 is over. We are into the second day of 2016. There has been no big bang. No celebration. None that I’ve felt nor seen anyways. It’s disappointing in a way but it’s all good. It’s a slow comfortable ease … Continue reading

I was thinking about Benjamin Franklin and his 13 virtues this morning. I was thinking that I need to move a little faster towards order. No use getting all these ideas and plans but no action. Without any movement there … Continue reading

ORDER AND PATIENCE
It is six o’clock in the morning. The sun is out and shining bright. Sheba is fed, watered and satisfied. The world is still quiet. There is order and I am learning to be patient. Nothing is permanent. Everything passes. … Continue reading
