My daily morning meditative walk in the garden. Sometimes I start weeding still in my pjs and bathrobe.Bitter melon happiness in the greenhouse. 2 beautiful melons growing and thriving. A butterfly on its leaf greeted me, opening and closing its wings.Killing 2 days with one stone. Day 22 and 23/61 Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day Challenge. A PINEAPPLE with PURPLE hair. It’s fun to let go and let my brush have its way.Last evening’s mini version of Monday’s downpour. Failed to capture the thunder and lightning.Things are getting crowded in the greenhouse. I finally pruned out the snowpeas to give the peppers more elbow room and light. They needed a little moral support from the tomato cages. Hopefully they will now get more robust. They are flowering.Despite our strange weather of drought and flood , things are growing by leaps and bounds. We’ve got the tomatoes strung up to keep them on the straight and narrow.Day 21/61 Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day Challenge. Summer SOLSTICE sure brought a huge rainstorm to my city.Day 20/61 Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day Challenge. Can a OUIJA BOARD give us answers from beyond?Day 19/61 Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day Challenge. I did it know about SELVEDGE jeans, did you? How they are different from other jeans is beyond me.Sweet morsels from the greenhouse and garden.Instagram

THIEVES AND NASTINESS
It’s Thursday. I’m a day late coming to my space. I felt so terribly busy and disorganized yesterday. It was better to be flexible and silent rather than stressing myself more by trying to do everything. So here I am … Continue reading

A MONKEY WRENCH
So I come to this space to bitch and complain again about how unfair it all is. I want to lay down, throw a tantrum on the floor, kick my legs up and down and scream. I didn’t do any … Continue reading

FAILED FENCES – POST MORTEM
Yesterday, I talked about how difficult if not impossible it is to mend old fences. Today I’m thinking about how to build new ones. I have to understand first why my fences failed. I don’t want to repeat the same … Continue reading

GETTING ALONG IS HARD TO DO
Thanksgiving Monday. Cold and grey. So different from yesterday but at least there’s no snow. I asked Sheba if she wanted to go for her walk. She ran to the door. I said Oh, Damn! I seriously didn’t mean it … Continue reading
AN UNEXAMINED LIFE – Day 29 in a year of….
Day 29, August 20, 2016 @1:38 Clouds and Joni Mitchell’s BOTH SIDES NOW had me thinking about the duality in our lives – how nothing is what it seems/what you want. It’s really not what I want to dwell on. … Continue reading

THE ‘HOOD
It is morning again, already! The sun is shining right in my eyes. I am tired. My fingers are stiff, the knuckles swollen and sore. Too much work in the garden yesterday. I have lost my words for a few … Continue reading
THE LINE OF RESPECT
It is Saturday morning. Breakfast and dishes are done. I am sitting here with my second cup of tea. Somewhere in downtown Saskatoon, there is a big rally on defending our climate, defend our communities. I am not there. There … Continue reading
DOG WITH A BONE
Sometimes I am like Sheba with a bone. I hang onto to my ‘bad’ feelings with all my might, not letting go. That is my perception. That is how I feel inside. When you live alone, life is much easier … Continue reading
