Day 26/61 Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day Challenge. A POEM/tree. The last card for today. Catching up is hard to do but it’s a rest from gardening. I’m still 5 days behind.Day 25/61 Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day Challenge. PORTMANTEAU - a treasure chest from the sea. I wonder what’s in it.Day 24/61 Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day Challenge. Inspired by a Vincent Van Gogh PRINT. My version of Starry, Starry Night. This morning’s harvest. The first bitter melon of the season. Another one on the vine. I’m hoping for lots more. Strawberries coming in handfuls. The lettuce is getting old but new ones on their way.My daily morning meditative walk in the garden. Sometimes I start weeding still in my pjs and bathrobe.Bitter melon happiness in the greenhouse. 2 beautiful melons growing and thriving. A butterfly on its leaf greeted me, opening and closing its wings.Killing 2 days with one stone. Day 22 and 23/61 Daisy Yellow Index Card a Day Challenge. A PINEAPPLE with PURPLE hair. It’s fun to let go and let my brush have its way.Last evening’s mini version of Monday’s downpour. Failed to capture the thunder and lightning.Things are getting crowded in the greenhouse. I finally pruned out the snowpeas to give the peppers more elbow room and light. They needed a little moral support from the tomato cages. Hopefully they will now get more robust. They are flowering.Despite our strange weather of drought and flood , things are growing by leaps and bounds. We’ve got the tomatoes strung up to keep them on the straight and narrow.Instagram

WHAT’S IN A NAME
My passport expired 4 years ago. I didn’t renew it before it happened. Pure laziness on my part. A few rules had changed in the intervening time which made it more work if not difficulty for me. I had … Continue reading

SOLDIERING ON, COUNTING MY BLESSINGS
August 8 I’m struggling with the clouds and my own darkness today. Nobody is winning. We’re even-steven. I’m trying to stay on top of the day, not letting ‘nature’ get the best of me. I’m feeling autumn’s effects on me … Continue reading

LIKE A SHINY PENNY
Some habits are good to keep. Though the Ultimate Blog Challenge is over, the commitments of the month are sticking. I do my 4-7-8 breathing exercise in the morning waiting for the kettle to boil. It is relaxing. I have … Continue reading
