My daily draw/watercolour. Day 97 of #the100dayproject. Team Martha and Lia. I hope they approve. Somehow I’ve made Lia look like a teenager. She grew up fast! Sometimes I have no control of the outcome.Baking bread. Of comfort and joy on a cool rainy and snowy day. The snow was short lived. I ate 2 slices. My daily draw/watercolour. Day 96 of #the100dayproject. Reading - from a photo I saw and love of a FB page. I adore these 2 friends and the story they are telling. My daily draw/watercolour. Day 95 of #the100dayproject. My Valentine’s bouquet is long past due. Now that I’ve captured it, I can let it go. As you can see, my table is in its usual mess.A memory of Sheba checking out squirrels up the tree. She left us 2 years ago yesterday. Our very last squash from fall harvest. A Sweet Mama. Will be part of soup for lunch. I will add radish greens from the greenhouse to the mix. A cool morning. We had a bit of rain overnight. There’s forecast of minus night temps later in the week. I wonder what kind of summer we will have this year.My daily draw/watercolour. Day 94 of #the100dayproject Trying something outside my usual. I love flowers but not fond of painting them because they are not easy.Caught the culprit - scarlet lily beetle snacking on my plant. I did away with it. I hear they can eat up all your lilies. Good thing they don’t care for day lilies.Tulips in bloom. My daily draw/watercolour. Day 93 of #the100dayproject. Ghanaian youths posing for my camera 2011. These are children of colour as I am a woman of colour. I’m thinking of the shooting in Buffalo where black people were targeted by an 18 year old white boy. Ten people were killed. I wonder when he had time to learn to hate.Instagram

I KNEW IT WAS MY LAST DAY THERE
The snow on the ground this morning made me think of my first time to Ghana, land of palm trees and warm beaches, being close to the equator. Here I am, with my own chief, sitting on the balcony of … Continue reading

GIVING THANKS
I love October mornings like today. The morning air is crisp and refreshing, the sun bright and the sky, an incredible blue. How can one not feel thankful for Nature’s generosity? I give thanks to the Heavens above, my arms … Continue reading
